Love everything about El Merendero--the food is fresh, authentic, and the service is wonderful--friendly and caring. It has changed little over the years--and that's a good thing.

First time visiting here. This location was highly recommended by several of my friends. Our server was very nice and cheerful. The restaurant had a steady flow of guests and the decor and atmosphere was very pleasant. We were served with chips and salsa. They were both very tasty. I would say the salsa was medium to mild. I had the #88. The chicken and shredded beef hard shell tacos were great as were the beans and rice. I also had a soft shell taco with Al pastor. That was definitely my favorite choice of meat as it was tender and delicious. It had a sweet note at the end. We also got some freshly made pastries in the bakery section. The guava and strawberry pastries were banging. Overall, a great experience. We will be coming back. Thank you.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant in Pomona that serves great menudo. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menudo at this restaurant was simply outstanding - the rich, flavorful broth, tender chunks of tripe, and perfectly balanced spices made every spoonful a delight for the taste buds. It was evident that the chef put a lot of care and attention into preparing this traditional Mexican dish, and it truly paid off. Not only was the menudo great, but the service was friendly. The staff was inviting, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making my experience even more enjoyable. If you're a fan of menudo or looking to try it for the first time, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant in Pomona. You won't be disappointed!

Half a panaderia (bakery) and half a restaurant. Parking: there are two parking lots attached to the building that you may need to pay for depending on time and day. Bakery: even at 6pm on a Sunday they had a great variety of pan dulce as well as flan, jello and pastelles. Small jello is $3 and the small tres leches was $3.50 which is not bad at all. The pastries were also very good! Restaurant: the workers here are so so nice. The restaurant itself gives a homey vibe which feels nice and their menu is massive. My bf and I came here for the tortas so I got the millanesa while my bf got the asada. - Milanesa: portion and ratio was really good although I wish there was a little more of a kick to the flavor - Asada: meat didn't really have any seasoning on it at all but everything else was good The green salsa is very good but the red was not our favorite. It had a different taste that we could not figure out. Overall; this place is amazing. I hope to try some other dishes!
